Course Overview
The Art of Living Creatively Courses 2012 is a one year program consisting of 3 different courses in personal development based on the philosophy of Rudolf Steiner, Psychophonetics and creative expression.
The Art of Living Creatively program offers opportunities for participants to go on a conscious, creative and developmental journey of:
- connecting with your inner wisdom
- developing self-awareness
- enhancing your sense of belonging and wellbeing
- expressing more fully who you are in the world
The 2012 program covers four key themes
- Restoring Inner Peace
- Exploring Biography
- Enhancing Wellbeing and Vitality
- Reflecting/Creative Expression
Date: Tuesday evenings, beginning 3rd April 2012
Time: 7.00pm - 10.00pm

Course aims and objectives
The focus of the course is threefold, with the aim of developing
- personal development skills
- creative expression
- an enhanced sense of community, connection and belonging
All sessions incorporate invigorating and enlivening creative arts such as
- clay work
- expressive drawing
- watercolour painting
- storytelling
- creative writing/poetry
- sound work
- movement
Throughout the course we will be
- creating a safe space for sharing and expressing who we are in our soul journey
- exploring issues arising from the needs and wishes of group members
- developing a process of learning from and with each other
- focusing on our experience and the choices we make in life as the source of self knowledge and inner knowing
- learning skills to become more aware and conscious in our thoughts, feelings & actions
- participating in an experiential approach that embraces our whole being, as body, soul & spirit

Beginning Tuesday April 17
Inner peace is our true nature yet we often don't feel peaceful. The world around us is certainly reflecting that lack of peace.
During our time together we will explore what is in the way of each of us experiencing inner peace and some different ways of restoring it.
We will be guided by the principles of Rudolf Steiner's seven conditions of spiritual development and focus on both inner peace and peace with others; our contribution to peace in the world.
These conditions are also the basis for personal transformation.
Restoring inner peace is an experiential process in which you will learn basic and practical tools for exploring and transforming inner dynamics.
Reflecting sessions:
There are a number of sessions throughout the program that focus specifically on creative expression to assist in integrating and more fully expressing what we are learning.
There will be a space for quiet reflection and a chance to use drawing, colour and clay as a way of enhancing our experience.

Exploring Biography
Discovering meaning in your life patterns

Beginning Tuesday June 26
Participants will have an opportunity for reviewing significant life experiences and attitudes, discovering themes and patterns and enriching self-understanding and compassion.
Opportunities are offered to transform the effects on our lives and inner dynamics.
Each week will focus on reviewing, in depth, the different 7-year phases of development according to Rudolph Steiner.
Different creative modes will be used in small groups, including symbolic mementos, dramatic replay, games, drawing and writing.

Beginning Tuesday September 25
Our life force and energy levels are a key to our wellbeing and vitality.
When we have these in abundance, we are free to live our lives fully, healthily, purposefully, joyfully and passionately.
Regardless of our current state of health, wellbeing and vitality can be enhanced.
In this course, we will look at the impact on our wellbeing and vitality, of stress, including life style choices, illness, anxiety, self-neglect in all areas of our life and unresolved issues.
We will learn and experience creative tools for use at home to support regaining and maintaining wellbeing and vitality in our lives.

About our team
The Art of Living Creatively facilitators bring a wide range of skills and knowledge to share with participants, including:
- the framework of Anthroposophy - Rudolf Steiner’s spiritual work
- the tools of Psychophonetics - an expressive approach that embraces the whole human being as body, soul & spirit - and
- their creative skills
Fees
The fee for all 3 terms is $1,500
Fee per course/term is $600
